Laura & Randy | Mountain Engagement Session

Sometimes I get a little loopy and tell my clients “we can always do your engagement photos in a different season so you get a completely different look!” And then we book it in the winter, and we freeze our buns off.

Laura and Randy actually lucked out, believe it or not, for their Rocky Mountain engagement session. It wasn’t TOO cold, but it rained and everything was coated in ice. We walked from the first spot in a human chain, in hopes it would bring us stability, and not bring all of us to the icy ground together.

Laura is a total boss babe that I met YEARS ago when we both lived in Whitecourt. I think we met before I was even a wedding photographer! She owns Spectrum Studio, a gorgeous hair salon in Slave Lake, and is a master stylist. She completely flattered me and messaged when they got engaged and said she couldn’t imagine anyone else taking their photos. So my little family is making the trek to Slave Lake for the first time ever this summer for their wedding!

These two picked the perfect outfits for their photos! They looked amazing together, and amazing against the snow and the mountain backdrop. After pictures on the skating rink that was supposed to be a field, we went into Canmore and took some photos along the creek.

Laura and Randy brought the heat. They kept each other warm with all the snuggles and hand-holding, and a sexy little kissing session out of the rain.

I am really looking forward to their wedding in July!
