Lethbridge Maternity Photography | Laura & Mike

Alberta summers can give us unpredictable weather with heat and summer storms, but the Alberta skies showed off for us for this coulee maternity session.

Laura contacted me on Instagram about maternity and newborn photography, and I was so excited to capture this part of their life. Though I don’t photograph newborns, and can refer a couple of amazing photographers, I LOVE maternity photography. I am a boudoir photographer, and a photographer for couples.

This session was incredible. We were constantly watching the weather, and even though it was sickly hot the day before, it poured before the session. I think Laura and I both were giving each other the play by play of what our weather apps were saying. Our Alberta skies showed off for us that night, and we are not even sad about it. What made this session even more amazing, was the VIP access to their incredible family farm. Don’t worry, I asked how I could become a part of their family already ;) But there doesn’t seem to be any openings!

Laura and Mike are due to meet their baby boy in August, and Laura has been working at the hospital all through Covid-19. Can you say super-mama?! Mike, thanks for being stubborn and scaring the pee out of Laura and I and insisting on driving up that steep (and muddy) hill to get the views… I am 100000% happy we did, even if I slipped down the coulee.

You two are going to be amazing parents, and this little boy is so loved already. Thank you for choosing me to capture this chapter of your story together.
